Singapore: One Day and One Night

<Thai> — <English>

I just back from my trip to Osaka, and now my finger just feels itchy to write and tell all of you the story.

Day 1

Singapore

My home is just 30 mins away to Don Mueang Airport (Yes I lived in Thailand), so when you live that close to the airport, you’ll have the pleasure of getting out late. And my flight was 11:30 AM So I can go out at 9:00 AM without any problem there will be more than enough time for me to leisure around.

But The first thing that came up in my head when I arrived there was.

Shit, where is my flight!

I have to pick up my itinerary to look again and oh boy, my flight is at Suvarnabhumi Airport, not Don Mueang and it’s a 1-hour drive away if the traffic is good. And one thing that you’ll learn if you live in Bangkok, there’s no such thing as good traffic in Bangkok.

Next thing I know is that I jumped on the closest cab around and told the driver, “Suvarnabhumi, just go, fast!” Then the staff of the airline that I have to check in with is a trainer, and she doesn’t know how to handle transit check-in. So, I’ll have to wait for her to make a called and more experienced staff to help me out.

Then like 30 minutes after the plane goes up the woman that sat beside me stepped into my foot when she tried to walk past me. She came back with a cup of coffee and say sorry to me.

Po Travel Tips – 01: Always talk with a fellow traveler

You gain Friend 1ea. Now I just got a Russian girl to travel with me for my half-day in Singapore.

We decided to go to Little India to sightseeing and find something to eat.

After 40 minutes walk under 33°c sun tried to find some right place to sit down and eat and still couldn’t find a place to land one word slip up from our mouth, “Merlion?” and the next thing we knew is the long walked down the street from Little India all the way to Merlion Park And why do we walk instead of taking a bus?

And when our face was greeted by the wind of the bay. We sat there looked at the view, feel the wind, take a photo, and let our legs rest before parted away at The Merlion.

Then I started to walk alone to Marina Bay Sands. It took me a while before I realize that the distance is a lot longer than I think. And I arrived there all sweat like I just finished a game of basketball.

I stood there for like 15 minutes holding my last 50 SG$ bills in my hand thinking to myself.
